...Because I don't expect people to know what he looks like, ahahaha...

Mablung has fairly typical colouring for a Sinda: he's fair-skinned, with dark hair and grey eyes. His hair is kept long, parts to the side and is drawn back in a pair of fishtail braids to knot at the back of his head, sections of layers beneath that falling in front of his ears at a length close to his collar. From the knot, the rest of his hair is gathered into a long, full fishtail braid.

He wears clothing in earthy colours--dusty grey-greens and dark browns, sandy beige--and dresses in layers (full sleeved shirt, a second layer that reaches from his ribs down to the mid of his thighs, and a longer sleeveless vest with all held in place by a wide band around his waist) and leather (bracers, into which his sleeves are tucked, and leather boots that reach up over his knees that are softer in texture after a few inches from the knee to allow for bending).

...and rough concept to put this in image-form: )

Mablung holds great prowess in combat, and is skilled with spear, knife, sword, and axe. I do headcanon he's far less skilled than Beleg with bow and arrow, but I'd assume that's to be expected. Mablung fares far better with melee weapons where his strength is better put to use.

Right, so then. Mablung, one of the minor characters in The Silmarillion and The Children of Húrin. Captain and messenger of the hidden kingdom of Doriath, one who travelled frequently with Beleg, fought beside him as the only elves of Doriath in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, and who hunted down the wolf alongside Beren and others. Fought for Túrin's name during his trial (though his concern was that the doom would be just), a great series of unfortunate events followed later regarding Morwen and Nienor, and then slain defending his homeland against freaking dwarves.

Okay, that's history, there's other parts, but those are all easily enough found if you look in the right places.

Mablung is basically a very blank slate in the setting of his and others' stories--not uncommon for Tolkien's minor characters. As such, something like 90% of his personality is headcanon. All we're shown in the books he appears in are that he is stern and disciplined, and that he is loyal with some degree of independence. He does care about those he feels are close to him, but justice and discipline must come first. As he's developed through my writing of him, Mablung is rather distant and stoic. He is focused on his duties and accepts that his head must come before his heart. He is not bound to another, and he will likely never be. ...And I'll share more later when I'm not so lazy.

On bonding: This means, if for whatever reason this comes up, I will not ship him. This precludes all manner of romance, including sex, flirtation, and physical affection of all kinds. Elves are monogamous, not sex-driven except to procreate, and bond for life. Sex is not something done lightly. Not due to society, due to physiology.

So the hug/kiss/fight/injure/kill/etc. list? He will react negatively or uncomfortably to any and all affectionate physical contact. He would rather not fight, but he holds great prowess in battle with axe and sword (though he favours the axe), and should a thread come to that, please discuss it with me. Non-life-threatening injuries are fine, though I would prefer to discuss how far is acceptable. And I would rather avoid him being killed. I don't know how mind control/telepathy/etc would work.
